i was never baptised because i was to young, i was in it until i was 5 years old.
but it ruined my life and still is because my dad, nanny, grandfather, my step nanny, my aunt and uncle...all on my dads side of the family are still in it, so i get lectured alot about things that have to do with the "truth" or i hear him talking about and all i think it, "what a bunch of garbage.
he never really yells at me, i don't think he can because he barely ever see's me, i try to avoid going there as much as possible.
Some kids don't even get one good parent so I know you count your blessings. I was lucky.
You're a smart young lady and you are going to do great in life. You interact with adults very well.
I'm going to give you one little bit of advice that was given me and it is really true.
You don't want to end up with a guy like dad right? Guys treat their wives the same way they treat their moms. So if any guy you date treats him mom like garbage, run away fast.
i have been in a number of different congregations over the years, and i have to say that the level of conversation i had with my fellow believers, with a few exceptions, was rather poor.. here are some 'opening' comments.. 1) nice to see you at the meeting.

I have a feeling I'm going to end up with a favorite beach on Maui before long but here is Linda Mar beach in Pacifica, less than a mile from my home. I jog up and down this beach a couple of times a week. Fun running in the sand.
yes, the headlines are true.. last night, after getting my hair cut wayyy off (i have a faux hawk guys, it's cool to be butch) i went to borders for my usual perusal of porn (kidding, i bought a cookie from mrs. fields and it was the only other warm place open in fresno).
upon entering the back doors of borders, my girlfriend and i felt an immediate presence of pure evil!
you know, the kind only a jw can put off.
We did kiss in front of them last time, at the movie theatre, (LOL) they got up and left. It was fabulous!!

i have gotten many emails and pm's from posters asking about mom, so thought i would update everyone.. she is still in a rehab facility, but because she will need more care than i am qualified to give her now, she is moving on saturday to an assisted-living retirement home.
we have toured it and it is really a nice one.
medicare is picking up the tab, so it won't cost her anything except most of her ss check.
This is good news. I'm glad things are working out so well for you and mom.

I am a fan of science fiction but I wasn't impressed with battlestar. I wish it had been made to a regular release movie instead of on the science fiction channel. It seemed cheaply made by todays standards.
well, it's been a long time coming, but my publisher just sent me the proof for the cover of my sci-fi novel today, and it looks fantastic!
i wrote back and told them it was well worth the wait.. as soon as they release the book, i'll make a shameless announcement so you can all rush out and buy a copy.
